About Dr. Charles Kattan
Hi! I am Dr. Charles Kattan, a podiatrist. I love what I do. It is rewarding to help ease my patients' pain while having the ability to have a good conversation and form a relationship at the same time. With so many procedures and things to talk about, my job just never gets old!
I graduated from Temple University’s School of Podiatric Medicine with a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree. Afterward, I completed a podiatric surgical residency at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center for three years, where I gained experience in a broad range of foot and ankle procedures. I then went on to complete a fellowship in Wound Care and Tissue Healing at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, where I treated a wide variety of wounds and ulcers. I trained in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, which I used extensively during my time in the program.
On a personal note, I was born to Syrian Jewish parents in Brooklyn, New York, then moved to and grew up in Mexico City. I have had the privilege of being part of many diverse and beautiful cultures throughout my life, which helps me understand many different perspectives and points of view. I am lucky to be fluent in Spanish, Arabic, Hebrew, and English.
I am an observant Orthodox Jew, which helps guide my ethics in both my professional and personal life.
I am happily married and have two children. The kids love the office, and maybe I might bring them around in the post-COVID-19 era.

Incredibly friendly! I had an ingrown toenail issue and he was super funny and made me at ease. He was gentle and was up front about being vaccinated, as well as the rest of the staff being vaccinated. He explained everything I needed to know for care and also explained to call right away if I had questions or concerns. I will recommend him to anyone I know.

Dr. Charles Kattan is an incredible podiatrist! I was a new patient, very nervous knowing that I would need a not-so-delightful procedure to correct my painful ingrown toenail. Coming into the office I was having bad anxiety given the situation, but Dr. Kattan really put me at ease. He is down to earth, respectful, personable and kind. Definitely gives off a positive energy and has enthusiasm for what he does. A genuinely good guy. He attentively listened to my concerns and took his time to examine me and assess the issue I was having. He explained to me what the procedure would entail, and went above and beyond to help me relax and be as comfortable as possible throughout the whole procedure. I could absolutely tell that Dr. Kattan cared about my comfort level and really wanted to help me and provide me with relief. And he truly did! I have been to other podiatrists before, but honestly I was SO impressed during my visit with Dr. Kattan. I appreciated how he took the time to really be so thorough with absolutely everything (even how he fully sanitized/prepped my toe before the procedure and how well he wrapped it up at the end! - this may sound silly but I’ve been elsewhere for the same exact procedure and I did not experience the same amount of care like I had with Dr. Kattan.) The office and exam room is modern, high-tech and very clean. Also, the exam table/chair was totally adjustable and very comfortable, even with a little curtain so I didn’t have to look at my foot while the procedure was being performed - maybe not important to some people, but to me it’s little details like these that help with my anxiety surrounding the procedure and just totally elevated the experience in general even further. I felt like Dr. Charles Kattan truly cared about me as a patient and his overall goal of helping me was undeniable. Best bedside manner I have experienced from any doctor. He truly is a mensch. I will absolutely be back to see Dr. Kattan for any podiatry concerns - I highly, highly recommend him.
