About Dr. Charles Kwak

Dr. Kwak grew up in Queens and attended Hunter College High School. He earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard University and medical degree at SUNY Upstate Medical Center. Dr. Kwak completed his internal medicine internship at NYU Langone Hospital – Long Island, and his dermatology residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. Dr. Kwak has broad experience treating a diverse patient population. Over the better part of two decades, he has been a board-certified practicing dermatologist in various clinical settings from private practice to resident teaching clinics to multi-specialty healthcare systems. His passion is the integral role the skin plays in the health, homeostasis, and physical well-being of the individual, and his motivation is the diagnostic and therapeutic challenges posed by each patient. Furthermore, Dr. Kwak has been a long-standing patient advocate for the underserved patient population within the community, including patients with developmental disabilities.
