Getting to know Chasity Carswell

My name is Dr. Chasity J. Carswell, DNP, APRN. I am double board certified in Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Practice. I earned my Doctorate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from the University of Massachusetts Global, my Master’s in Family Nursing from Albany State University, and my Bachelor’s degree from Middle Georgia State University. I have over 9 years of experience treating children, adolescents, and adults. I have worked in a variety of settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient crisis stabilization units, behavioral health crisis centers, substance abuse detoxification programs, geriatric inpatient psychiatry, and hospital psychiatric consult liaison services. My passion has always been mental health, and I have a proven track record of maintaining and stabilizing my clients. Collaborating Minds’ core values are Compassion, Dependability, Commitment, and Open-Mindedness. My ultimate goal is to provide the best care and treatment for your mental health and/or substance abuse needs.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients will learn to focus on their strengths instead of their weaknesses. Education on treatments and medications is what clients will learn after my sessions.

In-network insurances

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
