About Chelsea Golub

Hi, I'm Chelsea and welcome to Eat Healthy with Chelsea! Are you confused about who to listen to when it comes to nutrition or what fad diet to try next? If the answer is a profound "YES" - I hear you!! I've been there - that's actually why I became a dietitian, but I'll get into that later! There's SO much misinformation that gets thrown around nowadays about health, wellness and, especially nutrition. But I'm here to tell you that it's time to ditch the diet mentality. That's right, I said it - throw those diets out the window because they just don't work! This is where I come in... I am here to provide support, information, and be a guide to help you achieve a healthy lifestyle by making simple changes to help you reach your goals. I am a non "diet" dietitian, meaning that I will provide tools that you can take with you and use on a daily basis. I provide individual nutrition coaching that is unique to how each client feels, eats, sleeps, exercises, and the goals they want to meet. By getting a detailed history from each client and working one-on-one, I will help guide you to feel your best by eating real foods and learning simple, small hacks that will result in big changes. I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist based in Manhattan with a master's degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University. I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. I completed my Dietetic Internship at NYU Langone Medical Center with a focus in clinical nutrition, community nutrition, and food service. After working as a clinical dietitian at a long term care facility in Brooklyn where I specialized in nutrition support and worked with dialysis patients, my life got turned upside down. My dad suddenly passed away from a heart attack at just 60 years old. From that moment on, I decided to dedicate my career to him and help prevent tragedies like that from happening in the future through diet.

Chelsea has been extremely kind and supportive throughout my journey! We hit the ground running almost immediately after requesting an appointment. She curates sessions to be a comfortable environment with absolutely no judgement and takes the time to personalize each one to better guide you. I can tell she truly cares about each one of her clients and I can't recommend her enough.
Chelsea helped me SO much!! She was very patient and understanding and took time to actively listen to any and all challenges/goals that I had. She has really great tips and helped me form much healthier diets. I especially appreciated her tips when it came to making healthier choices to help lower my sugar intake without making any extreme changes. I cannot recommend Chelsea enough!!
Chelsea has completely transformed how I look at food and at my diet as a whole. She’s helped me balance my meals with nutritious food, recognize my hunger and full cues, and not feel guilty for enjoying “unhealthy” foods. I’ve seen other dieticians before, but Chelsea has had the biggest impact on me - she focuses on realistic long term habits to change my physical and mental health, rather than on specific diets that are hard to keep up. As a new mom, she helps me manage my meals around my new schedule and lack of free time, and she helps me make food choices as stress-free and manageable as possible.

I absolutely loved working with Chelsea! She is super warm and approachable and made me feel like I was talking to a friend. Chelsea was so amazing to work with! Before I started working with her I struggled when it comes to cooking but after working with her for a couple of months my confidence in the kitchen improved drastically. I was always intimidated to cook but she helped me find healthy and easy solutions that made the process much more attainable. She also helped me understand the importance of not putting your favorite food on a pedestal and restrict my self rather acknowledge the craving and enjoy the food to make it less of a “big deal”.
I’ve always had a huge appetite, and I thought I was hopeless in reining it in. Chelsea helped me introduce healthy and delicious foods into my meals that made me feel more satisfied and for longer periods. Food doesn’t have control over me like it used to, and I understand how to build meals and habits that limit guilt and fatigue, and that allow me to actually enjoy myself while cooking and eating. Within days I was eating with a freer mind, and within a few months, I had completely rewired how I looked at food after decades of struggling.
Chelsea is very easy to talk to. She is kind, positive, thoughtful, and patient. I never felt judged or pressured to change. This made such a difference because often times I can shut down or get frustrated/defensive when I feel like I’m being told what to do or not listened to and criticized. Chelsea has a high level of empathy, and PASSION for what she does. I felt inspired after each session! Chelsea’s method was effective because it felt like food therapy. I was able to talk about my relationship with food day to day, and how I felt after eating (or not eating) and what my fears/goals were and how they evolved. This approach worked very well for me, as it helped me feel empowered to make my own decisions instead of someone telling me what to do. I highly recommend!!
Chelsea was so helpful on my overall health journey. Not only did she answer all of my questions and help me to meet my nutrition goals (creating a better relationship with food, finding my "happy" weight, and just making food less stressful overall), but she met me where I was at.
