About Cheryl O'Neil
Cheryl is a dual board-certified nurse practitioner licensed to practice advanced nursing in Maryland. She holds certifications from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC). Cheryl earned her Master’s in Nursing and Post-Master’s Certificate in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from Walden University. She also holds bachelor's degrees from Fairfield University and the University of Connecticut.
Before joining Washington Nutrition & Counseling Group, Cheryl gained extensive experience as an FNP in various healthcare settings, including pain management, skilled nursing and assisted living facilities, hospitals, outpatient surgical suites, and operating rooms.

I waited for my virtual appointment for over an hour. I was logged in ahead of time, and the provider never attended the appointment. I called the office twice to check to see if the provider was aware i was waiting in the virtual waiting room, the staff that answered the phone was very nice and sent a message to the nurse practitioner but she nver responded. I understand medical providers run behind, but a phone call from someone to apologize would have been nice, even if it was hours later. I'm still waiting for someone to call me to reschedule the appointment. Hopefully, they don't waste my time a 2nd time.
