Dr. Fern Malmstadt is a licensed acupuncturist and Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, practicing in both Washington and Oregon. Originally from Bangkok, Thailand, Dr. Fern brings valuable experience in traditional Thai healing, combined with a long-standing dedication to whole-person wellness.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Oriental Medicine from Rangsit University in Bangkok before moving to the United States to advance her education. Dr. Fern received both her Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM), one of the nation’s top institutions in the field, graduating in 2023.
Blending Eastern wisdom with evidence-informed techniques, Dr. Fern takes a compassionate, patient-centered approach to care. She specializes in pain management, stress reduction, and women’s health, offering individualized treatment plans that support each patient’s unique health journey.
With a deep commitment to treating the whole person—body, mind, and spirit—Dr. Fern helps her patients cultivate balance, restore vitality, and enhance overall well-being.

The Dr was very knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable before the treatment. She came in partway through to make sure I was still doing okay. Looking forward to future treatments

Absolutely love Dr. Fern. She always listens to me and is very aware of my body and takes the time to assess where I am at before we proceed. She creates a very safe space and I have experienced tons of help physically, mentally, and emotionally.
