Christie Matter, MD Dr. Christie Matter is board certified in dermatology and has been in private practice in Plano since 1999. Dr. Matter enjoys seeing new and established patients of all ages with skin, hair and nail conditions. Dr. Matter received her B.S. degree, with honors, in biology at University of North Texas in 1991. She then attended The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio where she received her Doctor of Medicine degree in 1995. She graduated with honors and with membership in Alpha Omega Alpha, an honorary medical society. She completed an internal medicine internship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Matter received her dermatology training at Duke University Medical Center and UT Southwestern Medical Center. She served as chief dermatology resident at Parkland Hospital. Dr. Matter is a well-rounded, experienced dermatologist who enjoys all aspects of general, surgical, pediatric and geriatric dermatology. She recognizes the medical and psychological impact of skin diseases and aging and provides superb dermatologic diagnosis and treatment with empathy and compassion. She is committed to forming a long-term therapeutic partnership with her patients. She was named one of the Best Doctors in Collin County for 2012 and 2014 by D Magazine.
