Besides being a psychiatric nurse practitioner with experience with kids and adolescents, I am also passionate about supporting adults through their mental health concerns. My approach I value your opinion and enjoy making decisions together with my client. I feel a person can feel good about their decisions if they have a say in those choices. My focus I typically work with people who have depression and Anxiety, but also enjoy working people with bipolar disorder, OCD and trauma. I also treat mild autism and psychotic disorders. My communication style I believe it is important to be on the same page with a person and make decisions together. My journey to mental healthcare I have a family member who has mental illness. I begin to understand that there may not be enough compassionate people in the mental health field to support everyone who needs it. This is why I became a psychiatric nurse practitioner. My goals for you I feel that the easiest goal to meet is the goal set by the individual. My first session with you A review of both past experiences and current problems are discussed as well as review of medication uses in the past.
