About Dr. Christopher Bednarek
With a background in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R/ Physiatry) and fellowship training in Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine, Dr. Bednarek provides a guided approach to pain management including musculoskeletal ultrasound guided injections, fluoroscopically guided spine procedures including epidural steroid injections, facet injections, medial branch blocks, radiofrequency ablations, and neuromodulation through spinal cord stimulation. A holistic, conservative, and multidisciplinary regimen is recommended for his patients.
He is a contributing author to multiple chapters and a reviewer of the well-known Atlas of Image-Guided Spinal Procedures. As an active member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPM&R) and the Spine Intervention Society (SIS), he remains up to date on the latest research and developments in his practice.
Dr. Bednarek is a Baltimore native. He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). He has a medical degree from the Jagiellonian University Medical College in Krakow, Poland. He has completed an internship in General Surgery and a residency program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Virginia Commonwealth University/ Medical College of Virginia. An Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine fellowship was completed at OSS Health in York, PA. He is proud to serve the community in his home state of Maryland.
