About Dr. Christopher Hixon
Dr. Chris Hixon is a board-certified dermatologist who offers general dermatologic care for all ages and backgrounds. Throughout his medical and dermatology training, he has become passionate about treating skin disorders, such as acne and psoriasis, as well as detecting and treating skin cancers. Dr. Hixon enjoys participating in dermatology conferences where he learns about the latest advancements in dermatology in order to provide the greatest care to his patients.
After growing up in Blacksburg, Virginia, Dr. Hixon attended Virginia Tech where he obtained his undergraduate degree in Pre-Medicine and graduate degree in Exercise and Health Promotion. He then went on to earn his medical degree from the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completing his residency at Lewis Gale Hospital in Virginia.
Dr. Hixon and his wife, a native Texan, are the proud parents of two great kids. When he is not helping his patients, he enjoys spending time with his family as well as golfing, working out and classic cars.
