About Dr. Christopher Isham
Christopher Isham, MD, is a board-certified Internal Medicine Physician who provides both comprehensive primary and preventive care as well as hospital-based inpatient care to adults of all ages.
Dr. Isham offers a patient-centered, holistic approach to caring for any acute or chronic health concern. He is skilled in the treatment and management of chronic medical conditions like heart failure, diabetes, hypertension, and obesity. Dr. Isham focuses on preventive care where possible, and strives to meet patients where they are in life, to collaborate in a way that empowers them to not only attain optimal health, but also to maintain wellness. He has a special interest in LGBTQ+ health care and advocating for health care equity.
Originally from Southern California, Dr. Isham came to Michigan to study at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where he majored in brain, behavior, and cognitive sciences. He subsequently completed medical school and Internal Medicine residency training in the city of Detroit. Outside of the office, Dr. Isham enjoys spending time with his husband, woodworking, and kayaking.

HOWEVER....
I HAD ASKED ZOCDOC FOR A PODIATRIST RECOMMENDATION.....
I WILL NEVER USE ZOCDOC AGAIN ??

I would highly recommend Dr. Isham. I have had a very complicated experience with doctors in the past and was nervous for this first appointment. I am glad to report that Dr. Isham listened carefully to my concerns, was kind, and gave me actionable steps/referrals to work on my health concerns. Everything was good. Doctor was great. Listened and took his time speaking with me. I did not feel rushed whatsoever. He also listened to my concerns and didn't push me when i expressed my discomfort when certain medications.

Best experience I've had with a doctor in over a decade. Attentive, pleasant, didn't seem like he was trying to rush through my appointment, and the other staff i interacted with were wonderful.... Not needing to make another appointment at a 2nd location just to have blood drawn is a huge plus as well.

Dr. Christopher Isham's office was relatively easy to find, was the actual office that I was scheduled for an appointment at, and they were aware of my appointment and had received the info I had sent online. Dr. Isham was very kind and listened to me and my concerns very well. I am very happy to consider him my primary care physician and am happy to continue to use ZocDoc to make appointments quickly and easily.

I waited for 45 minutes for the doctor before leaving the office. 15 minutes...20 minutes fine. But 45 minutes is simply rude and unprofessional. This was a follow up visit to review test results. This is not how I want to be treated by the doctor I PAY TO SEE.
