About Dr. Christopher Loughlin

Dr. Loughlin graduated from an Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery residency at Wake Forest University Medical Center in 1997. He initially practiced in Winchester, Virginia, but for the last 17 years, he has practiced in Central / Western Connecticut at Westwood ENT, P.C. One of Dr. Loughlin's most rewarding activities involved training general surgery residents in head & neck surgery at the two Waterbury hospitals he previously had privileges, St. Mary's Hospital and Waterbury Hospital.
In 2015, Dr. Loughlin cofounded the CT Sinus Center, which became the premier office based nasal/sinus surgery center in New England based on volume of patients treated in the office.
Now Dr. Loughlin has since moved and opened the Breathe Free Nasal and Sinus Center in Fall River, MA, taking patients starting in October 2025. He has performed thousands of nasal/sinus surgical procedures in the office since the trend to move these procedures out of the hospitals and surgery centers began early in the last decade. Patients will be offered nasal and sinus procedures to give long lasting improvement, without the need for riskier general anesthesia, and at much lower cost, than using an expensive hospital or surgery center.
Dr. Loughlin is married, with three adult children all living in Rhode Island. He enjoys working out, boating, and sailing. He is excited to bring these new office-based treatments to patients from Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.

Awesome experience seeing the PA Shifa. The entire staff was very friendly, I was seen right away and all my concerns were heard. The office has their own CT scanner and results were read immediately. Shifa was super kind and attentive. Would definitely recommend!

Very nice staff and the only drawback was a long wait but the doctor was very nice and apologized a few times for the wait. Apparently the pt before me was very late for her appointment so that affected mine. Otherwise it was a very thorough experience. I would definitely recommend this provider!

After a blocked ear couldn't be resolved at CVS MinuteClinic and several urgent care centers offered no additional treatment options, I was relieved to find New England Breathe Free Sinus & Allergy Centers in Fall River. I booked a next-day appointment through Zocdoc, and the office promptly called to confirm.
From the receptionist to Shifa Jacob, PA-C, the care was exceptional. Shifa was compassionate, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything, even showing me the inside of my ears on a large screen.
Within 20 minutes, I had relief, a diagnosis, and medication. Although the office is about 40 minutes from my home, it was well worth the drive. I've already scheduled a follow-up appointment and highly recommend this practice to anyone seeking quality ENT care.
