Dr. Loughlin graduated from an Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery residency at Wake Forest University Medical Center in 1997. He initially practiced in Winchester, Virginia, but for the last 17 years, he has practiced in Central / Western Connecticut at Westwood ENT, P.C. One of Dr. Loughlin's most rewarding activities involved training general surgery residents in head & neck surgery at the two Waterbury hospitals he previously had privileges, St. Mary's Hospital and Waterbury Hospital. In 2015, Dr. Loughlin cofounded the CT Sinus Center, which became the premier office based nasal/sinus surgery center in New England based on volume of patients treated in the office. Now Dr. Loughlin has since moved and opened the Breathe Free Nasal and Sinus Center in Fall River, MA, taking patients starting in October 2025. He has performed thousands of nasal/sinus surgical procedures in the office since the trend to move these procedures out of the hospitals and surgery centers began early in the last decade. Patients will be offered nasal and sinus procedures to give long lasting improvement, without the need for riskier general anesthesia, and at much lower cost, than using an expensive hospital or surgery center. Dr. Loughlin is married, with three adult children all living in Rhode Island. He enjoys working out, boating, and sailing. He is excited to bring these new office-based treatments to patients from Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.
