About Dr. Christopher Venutolo
Christopher Venutolo, MD, is a member of Summit Health’s family and internal medicine team. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and completed his residency training in internal medicine at Northwell Health. Dr. Venutolo’s focus is adult medicine, which includes the diagnosis, management, and treatment of a wide variety of acute and chronic medical conditions as well as disease prevention.
Dr. Venutolo values a patient’s ability to make their own decisions regarding their health. “It is my job to empower my patients by providing them with the necessary information and education to make decisions that are best for them. My goal is to work collaboratively with all my patients to achieve their individual goals of wellness,” says Dr. Venutolo.
During an appointment, he believes it is important to listen to his patient’s concerns and collaborate with them as a team to develop an individualized care plan tailored to their specific needs. Dr. Venutolo finds it very rewarding to build lasting relationships with his patients and help them lead healthier lives.
In addition, Dr. Venutolo has authored a peer-reviewed article in the journal Obesity, where he investigated the effects of cardiorespiratory fitness on brain structural lobe integrity. He also participated in a research study and authored a peer-reviewed article investigating the effect of neoadjuvant chemotherapy on postoperative complications in breast cancer patients undergoing post-mastectomy breast reconstruction.
When he is not treating patients, Dr. Venutolo enjoys playing tennis, running, and traveling to the U.K. to visit friends and family.
