About Cindy Haxel

A Bit About Me Like many other acupuncturists, I discovered the magic of Traditional Chinese Medicine through personal experience-first with getting off Nicorette gum and then for help with very severe PMS. The Nicorette cravings were immediately gone with the help of acupuncture, and the PMS was resolved after a couple of months of acupuncture and Chinese herbs. I was so impressed with the medicine that I quit my day job as a computer programmer and returned to school to earn my Master's Degree in Acupuncture from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine. I have been in private practice since 2007. When I'm Not Working... I live in the foothills west of Denver in a cozy straw bale house with my husband and best friend Bob-luckily, both happen to be the same person ;-) We always have a tribe of “inside” animals (currently two dogs and two cats-all rescues) as well as whatever wildlife happens to wander by outside. I've played music my whole life and am currently playing bass in an all-girl bluegrass/folk band. (More on us as we get better!) I also love to cook, crochet, write websites, and paint when I find the time.
