Cindy Yiu is a board-certified Physician Assistant who has been practicing since 2014.
She received her Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University and completed her Emergency Medicine residency at NewYork-Presbyterian / Weill Cornell, where she continues to practice full-time. Her interest in alternative and integrative medical therapies led her to extend her career into hyperbaric medicine at Hyperbaric Medical Solutions.
Her emergency medicine background is directly applicable to hyperbaric evaluation, particularly in screening for the contraindications that determine whether a patient can safely be treated — untreated pneumothorax, certain pulmonary conditions, and ear or sinus problems that affect pressure equalization.
