Words cannot express the level of compassion and understanding Claris offered me. She truly listened, validated me and more importantly made me feel heard. She took her time with me and really gave me space to explore the many factors impacting my concern. It didn’t feel rushed or that there was a strict agenda other than getting to know me, what’s worked/what’s not working and collaboratively came up with a plan to help me address my concern that I was onboard with. To me, Claris did not appear empathetic to my medical issues and prior horrific experiences with dangerous psychiatric medicines. After two medications made me suicidal, I wanted a simple sedative to help me sleep. That was denied and she opted instead for an anti psychotic that I don't feel comfortable taking. She also did not appear very knowledgeable in the field and in psychiatric medications.
