About Dr. Claudia Ramirez Bustamante
Dr. Claudia Elena Ramirez is a board-certified internal medicine physician and board-eligible endocrinologist specializing in diabetes, obesity, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, adrenal and pituitary diseases, and other hormonal conditions. She is passionate about helping patients achieve lasting improvements in their health through evidence-based, individualized care.
Dr. Ramirez earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia before completing her Internal Medicine residency and serving as Chief Resident at Meharry Medical College. She then completed a fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at Baylor College of Medicine, where she currently serves as an Instructor of Medicine and continues to contribute to endocrinology research and medical education.
In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Ramirez has authored numerous scientific publications and has presented her research nationally on diabetes, metabolic health, and endocrine disorders. She combines academic expertise with a compassionate, practical approach, empowering patients to understand their condition and make sustainable lifestyle and treatment decisions.
