My focus I have a diverse background and have worked with clients ranging from depression and anxiety symptoms to substance use issuesI and the severely mentally ill. My communication style I strive to promote an environment of healthy, trusting and open communication. My journey to mental healthcare I have been interested in the mental health field since I was a young child. My mother was a psychiatric social worker and my best days were when I was able to go to work with her. I continue to have a passion for this field because it is never stagnant, there is always something to learn, the ability to help others and the joy from seeing people improve. My goals for you You first have to understand the client's needs and from that point set SMART goals that are meaningful and challenging to the client. My first session with you A warm greeting and the gathering of background information to get to know them better as well as understand why they are seeking treatment in order to diagnose and create a treatment plan for their needs.
