Getting to know Dr. Corey Beck
I believe that a combination of skilled psychotherapy and proper medication management helps people recover faster. My goal is to get you back to living your life to its fullest as quickly as possible.
I completed my psychiatric residency at Emory University in 2008. I am board certified and recognized as a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. As a former attending psychiatrist at Ridgeview Institute, I have extensive experience helping people with primary psychiatric issues and dual diagnosis.
I am currently accepting new patients for telepsychiatry visits. I support the need for "social distancing" during the current public health crisis. I will resume booking in-office visits as soon as possible. Due to recently expanded office hours, same day appointments are occasionally available.

I was a new patient and wanted to get another prescription for medication I had been taking for a while. Since I was switching doctors I needed a new prescription from this new doctor, Dr. Beck. I have been taking these medications for at least 6 years and require them for my mental health. I even provided the assessment from my previous doctor and Dr. Beck basically invalidated the assessment and it’s results. One of the medicines is a controlled substance, and I felt like Dr. Beck treated me like I was some crazed drug addict for requesting a medication I have been taking forever just because it’s a controlled substance. All in all it was a very uncomfortable weird appointment leaving me feeling embarrassed (because I felt like he was making me out to be an addict) and I didn’t get my medication I require to function, nor was my request to change one of my medications honored. He just told me to take a different dose of the same medication, which I told him I had tried before to no avail. Whole appointment was a waste of time and I didn’t feel heard.

First visit, and I can say with out a shadow of a doubt, and I have met with several therapist and psychiatrist, he is by far the most open minded and none judgement professional I have ever met!! He is by far superior over 99% of all therapist you will ever meet in that field...

Dr Beck is very professional, and kind. His assistant Lisa is amazing, and prompt to answer the phone and never leaves me waiting. She is as sweet as she can be. This office is amazing, and I have never felt more heard or understood. I found them in ZocDoc after an experience with a doctor which I didn’t feel heard or understood. I feel like for the first time in my life I am on a path to recovery from mental illness and that I am in excellent hands. If you want your life back, this is the place to go.
