About Dr. Craig Kasper
Dr. Craig Kasper is the Managing Director of NYHD. He specializes in disorders of the vestibular system, hearing loss and tinnitus. A Distinguished Fellow of the National Academies of Practice and recognized as one of the Future Leaders of Audiology by his colleagues and the American Academy of Audiology, Dr. Kasper has been at the front lines of public education and hearing/balance healthcare service for over 25 years. He completed his Doctorate of Audiology at the University of Florida and earned his master’s degree with clinical honors from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Dr. Kasper completed his Clinical Fellowship and served as a clinician in the Department of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery at New York-Presbyterian Medical Center. Dr. Kasper is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA), and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). Dr. Kasper also earned certification in Performance Breathing from XPT.
He has contributed to scholarly articles that have been published in peer-reviewed journals, including Hearing Research and Laryngoscope. In addition to his professional publication history, he has written informative and educational health/scientific articles for the general public.
His experience has made him a resource for the media. He has appeared in print, on local and nationwide television, and online discussing topics related to hearing/balance health and wellness. Slightly unclear about the overall process. And, I was left , at the end without resolution of one of my issues. Probably an oversight by the staff, but I will have to call back for clarification of this medical issue. Aside from that, positive interaction all around. Peaceful office, and timely help with audiology tests, and clear English speech. Professional.

The staff was extremely helpful and allowed me to switch my appointment from in person to telehealth on the same day. The meeting started right on time and Dr. Kasper was lovely and provided clarity, understanding and support regarding the issue bringing us to him.

Fantastic visit. Dr. Kasper clearly loves his field and he seems to take great pleasure in educating patients about (at least in my case) tinnitus, how it happens, what can be done, options, the works! Wouldn't be surprised if he taught at some point. (Perhaps not coincidentally, a doctoral student was there as well who was also very good.) Nice, clean office. Highly recommended.

My Husband and I had a great first appointment with Dr. Kasper and Dr. Zweig who were thorough and very knowledgeable. Everything from the intake through the detailed family history and the very in-depth and thorough Hearing Test, to discussion of the results went excellently. We were very pleased with the warm, kind bedside manner, calm and friendly demeanor of these caring and informative professional Doctors. The receptionist was very kind, warm, friendly and also welcoming. The Office was very bright, clean, warm and friendly. We feel like our hearing health and testing is in good hands and have definitely found a place that we highly recommend. Thanks Dr. Kasper, Dr. Zweig and staff.

My Wife and I had an awesome first appointment with Dr. Kasper and Dr. Zweig. They are fantastic and warm human beings that are very responsive to the needs of the patient. They were very professional, asked many detailed questions and the Hearing Test was more extensive than I have had in any other place. The Secretary was extremely polite and courteous the office was clean and very calming. Dr. Kasper will definitely be our Audiologist from now on. Excellent all around! Highly recommended. I had not had a hearing exam in over 10 years, so felt one was due given regular use of earphones--in the New York city subway system at levels for which you receive warnings on your phone...
I had a thorough audiological test in a pleasant environment with a complete overview of my range of hearing. The analysis of the results was detailed -- in fact, more detailed than I expected and my questions were answered in a fastidious manner. From the point of entering the doctor's office to the meeting with the audiologist and then the doctor, it was a surprisingly pleasant appointment.
Just a few interesting stats that the doctor posted in his department: 1. 93% of white men ages 60-69 had high frequency hearing loss; 2. The odds of hearing loss were 5.5x greater in men vs wimen; 3. Smokers 1.69x as likely to have hearing loss

Dr. Kasper is great. However he shares the same problem that all audiologists share which is they are selling a bundled hearing device with treatment and service package which is outrageously over priced. I am a younger person with hearing loss and I don't actually need most of what the "bundle" provides. So I will be purchasing my hearing aids from an alternate provider.

He is also extremely attentive and has a great bedside manner. th eoffice is beautiful and clean and even there is virtually no wait time. They were even very courteous when i was late for my second follow up appointment. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an audiologist

Dr. Kasper was very personable and caring. Clearly cares about his patients' hearing health and personal well-being. We went through two visits of hearing tests to make sure everything was tuned perfectly. I would certainly recommend his practice to friends and family.

I'm fairly surprised but I really enjoyed my visit. I never had an audiologist that actually spent time with me to make sure I understood everything. Dr. Kasper is very friendly, understanding, and accommodating. The front desk were so nice! They offered coffee, light conversations, dark chocolate, etc. I'm confident I made the right decision.

Dr. Kasper and his team were outstanding. I was immediately seen upon arrival. His team performed a thorough test of my hearing, and afterward Dr. Kasper patiently answered all of the questions I had. He was particularly knowledgeable on topics related to using headphones, ear-buds, and listening to audio for extended periods of time. I was very happy with my visit and would recommend him without any reservations.

My brother and I accompanied our 92 year old mother to meet Dr. Kasper and discuss the need for hearing aids. To be honest we planned on seeing more than one audiologist to compare prices and make sure our mother was getting appropriate care.
To our delight, Dr. Kasper was wonderful! We were seen right away. He spoke to Mom directly and detailed all of the results of her hearing tests. He explained the various options to all of us and answered all of our questions. His office staff were pleasant and easy to work with. The office is bright and easily accessible for people using walkers or wheelchairs.
I highly recommend Dr. Kasper and feel fortunate we located him so easily through ZocDoc.
