Dr. Weinstein is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon with additional fellowship training in sports medicine and has been in practice since 2005. Dr. Weinstein has significant experience in advanced arthroscopic and other minimally invasive surgeries. He treats a variety of complex conditions including shoulder instability, knee ligament reconstruction, elbow ligament reconstructions (Tommy John surgery) and tendon tears. In fact, other surgeons often refer complex revision surgeries to his practice. Dr. Weinstein is a New York native by birth and arrived in the Valley with his family during his early teens. He attended Saguaro High School in Scottsdale prior to graduating Columbia University in New York. He completed medical school at Tulane University in New Orleans earning both his Doctor of Medicine degree and a Master of Public Health in health systems management. He became an orthopaedic surgeon at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York where he was selected as Executive Chief Resident his final year. He then completed his sports medicine fellowship at the world-renowned American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham. Following this, he was awarded the very prestigious Herodicus Traveling Fellowship to further his training.
