Dr. Shaft is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, where she earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Her family includes 22 chiropractors across three generations, including her son, Dr. Jeremy Shaft. Their family is featured in the Palmer Historical Society family book as family #7. She was awarded a Fellowship in the Palmer Academy of Chiropractic, an honor given fewer than 350 times in the 124-year history of Palmer College, the founding college of chiropractic. Dr. Shaft is also the Founder and Chairperson of the nonprofit organization Women Chiropractors (womenchiropractors.org). She is an internationally sought-after speaker and teacher. As a mother of seven and grandmother of eight, family is very important to her, so much so that family practice is her specialty.
