About Damini Banwari

I chose a career in medicine because I'm passionate about helping people improve their health and overall wellness. After earning my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at UNC Chapel Hill and completing my Master of Nursing at the University of South Carolina, I returned to Charlotte. As a Charlotte native, it's especially meaningful to care for and give back to the community that shaped who I am today. I believe that focusing on healthy lifestyles and preventive care can significantly enhance a person's quality of life. My goal is to partner with patients to support their long-term well-being through education, screenings and proactive care. One of the reasons I love primary care is that it functions much like a quarterback leading the team - coordinating care, guiding patients in the right direction and ensuring every aspect of their health is addressed. Before becoming a provider, I worked as an inpatient pediatric nurse for six years. This experience gave me a strong foundation in patient-centered care and sparked a special appreciation for working with children. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, shopping at Costco, being outdoors and cheering on the Tar Heels.
