Verified Patient Reviews
The Staff and Doctor were very attentive and I was given excellent information regarding my specific needs.
A good professional but he could use a few lessons to improve his bedside manner. He's not very warm, seemed slightly annoyed or impatient. I think that's because he couldn't understand what he was seeing and hearing. By the end, however, he realized the patient's pain was real. He lightened up and became slightly more approachable.
I will try to leave an objective review and let the reader determine if this is the type of service they prefer. When I arrived, it was unclear if I had an appointment. The desk seemed confused by a Zoc Doc appointment and I dont think they had my appointment on their books. I say this because she kept asking me to repeat my name, and did not have the chart prepared for my visit. Next, she asked me if this was a first time visit (if they looked at Zoc Doc, they would know this was not the case). She had difficulty finding my file but, at last, found it. When I signed in, I noticed multiple people under the 10:00AM appointment, so it seemed that double booking was a standard practice. I waiting in the lobby which turned into standing room only (e.g., 15+ people in there) probably b/c Dr Lahr is the only provider and apts are double booked. I got there at 10:05 for a 10:15 appointment. I was taken back at 10:50. Again, if waiting that long is fine with you, you will have no problem going here...but the wait was not over. I was told he would be right in. I had to leave by 11:30 (i didnt think i would be in there over an hour). By 11:27 after not being seen by anyone now for 37 mins, I went in the hallway and told the nurse I was leaving. He said the Dr was on his way. Another 7 minutes, he came in. Granted, I was in a hurry so I didnt query him with many questions, which I had. However, his advice for my knee (Iliotibial band syndrome) was go to physical therapy. This was his advise last year when I saw him...and I had been to physical therapy many time and my knee is much worse. Ok, maybe that is the right call for now. But an explanation into what is causing this, what I can do at home, etc., etc., would have been helpful. So...i waited this long and paid a copay to get 3 minute's worth of advise. Thanks. Again, if this is what you would expect, this is the place for me. Not me, i am going elsewhere.
he's the best ever........
Great doctor. Very thorough and concise.
I thought he was a great doctor but he gave me an incomplete prescription. I was in extreme pain and now have to wait until the pharmacy can call his office in the morning.
It was pretty good. He was running late because of a surgery that ran late so my appointment was at 3:15p.m. I didn't get seen until more like 4p.m. He's pretty straight forward- no fluff.
Problem diagnosed, questions answered, appropriate actions discussed clearly
Great doc... highly recommend.
It was a strange morning. My appointment was at 10:15 am, but I left early and got to their building by 9:38 am and saw a voice mail on my phone. I called back and they said that they have to close early and wanted to cancel my appointment. I told the lady on the phone that I am here, so he took me. It turned out that they wanted to close so they can go to a funeral. The Staff and the doctor were nice.
I had a very bad experience with this doctor. I reviewed some many doctors and I choose this one because of the comments and his supposed expertise. He was cold and cut to to point. He spent may be 10 minutes with me. I do not how is going to be the charge for this. I have a problem in my ankle and he did not even notice my problen with my the tendon of my toe ! He sent me only an MRI for the ankle. I called him to fix this and he was very rude with the technichian from the MRI lab. he practically hang up the call. During my appointment they took Xray and they now don not want me to give them back..They are stealing my X rays. I paid for those.. Find another doctors. This is great dissapointment. It is far and not worth the trip. The only person kind and educated there is Diana the Xray person.
I had a 1015am appointment and didnt get seen until 12pm. I sat in the exam room for over an hour
Dr. Lahr was great. He was very knowledgeable and even recommended a cheaper, store-bought option for a treatment I needed.
I tore my achilles and Dr. Lahr did my surgery. He is an excellent doctor as he did my surgery and was very helpful with the recovery process.
I have been there before-knew what to expect professionalism and courteous service
Dr. Lahr's practice is busy, you will have to wait....because he is good and spends time listening to his patients. Dr. Lahr is worth the wait.
It takes forever to see Dr. Lahr at the office in DC (Providence). Make sure you eat before you come because you're going to be there a while.
Dr. Lahr is a bit standoffish at first, but warmed up after a bit. He answered all of my questions and spent time to reassure me that everything would work out. His assistants Jeffrey and Tim were great. Very nice and helpful. I am happy that I chose to be seen by Dr. Lahr.
The staff were nice and personable. I enjoyed being in their care. Dr. Lahr was thorough and I had a lot of questions and complaints. I appreciated being listened to because some of my little details may have uncovered something new and important. Since my results aren't in, I'm hesitant to report that my visit was top notch. I would feel less pleased if things remain inconclusive. Overall, I liked the doctor and would certainly be happy following up with him.
it was ok
While Dr. Lahr was knowledgeable, he came across as very condescending when I asked him questions about my condition and necessary treatment. I also had to wait upwards of an hour to see the doctor, so the overall experience was extremely negative.
Dr. Lahr has excellent diagnostic instincts.
i recommend Dr Lahr to anybody who ask me .i think he was very professional and enjoyed very much talking with him in regards to my problem and the main thing for me was that he let me talk and he listend
Very Comical and knowlegeable and understanding, Best Bedside Manners.. Other Doctors need to be more like him..
The women at the front desk(s) were very friendly as well as the gentleman who escorted me around and the gentleman who took my x-ray. Dr. Lahr was very thorough, explaining multiple options available to me and made his recommendation. I never felt rushed and he answered all of my questions. I will definitely be having my surgery with Dr. Lahr.
Great staff!!! Great doctor!!!
I had a good experience with Dr. Lahr and his staff. I am glad that I found him by using ZocDoc.
Great doctor, friendly staff, & clean office. Dr. Lahr will always give you his honest opinion and treatment solutions that have never failed me. If you have really injured yourself then this is the guy to see.
Brought my 4 year old son to Dr Lahr since the ER diagnosed him with a broken foot. They were all great in making my son feel comfortable. I would reccomend him to anyone.
Dr. gave good advice.
I waited for over an hour, they overbook the one doctor and its very very busy there.
I had very good results with ankle surgery and after surgery care
Excellent and profesional, Thanks.
Seems that not only is it perfectly fine to keep someone waiting - but if you ask about it you get told off. The staff behind the desk are great but the doctor and his assistant are not.
Dr. Lahr was excellent but I sincerely think they don't check the appointments made online. They told me I was not on the list but fortunately, I had a copy of my confirmation. I had to wait over 1.5 hours before I saw the doctor. Several people who came in after me where processed and out before me.
Friendly doc, seemed rush though. He is the only doctor at this practice
Very nice doctor and office staff.
Friendly and efficient. X-rays taken and had results before seeing the doctor.
He is very simple and to the point. I highly recommend him.
