I have scheduled several appointments with him and he does not even bother to cancel. I just sat and wasted time. Boo.

I had appointment at 6:00am September 25 that Dr lowenstein didnt show up for. As a psychiatrist he should know that people are sick but not like just a cold. Appointment was booked for immediate help. No response! Don't waste your time.

Preface- I'm a former Zocdoc provider/doctor. I have ADHD, and I take Adderall (a controlled substance) before work to help me concentrate. I see numerous patients a day with severe eye pathology. I need to be on my game, or people will lose vision. This guy's company (Brightside Health, based out of SF- another corporation controlling aspects of medicine) allowed him to advertise as a psychiatrist in other states, WITHOUT stating that he is unable to prescribe controlled substances in states where he does not practice. I had already filled out all the forms stating the REASON for my visit. They had me join and be examined on their platform (not Zocdoc). He was condescending and talked over me for a while before revealing the news. Why didn't he read my intake forms? Zero people skills or common sense. The chief reason one sees a Psychiatrist (not a Psychologist) is MEDICATION. Many of which are CONTROLLED substances. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this must be corrected.

The only problems were the connections. The DR. WAS GONE FOR ABOUT 10 min. I had to call to see what was going on. But the visit was very nice. I will go to him again.

I have severe PTSD & anxiety & I've taken nearly every psych med & none worked & I'm in an area short on Psychiatrist & none took my insurance so several people said try zocdoc u did he said he is not allowed to prescribe controlled substances I said my previous therapist said ask for lomotil if psch drugs were going to be prescribed because I really can't take them & I'm being neglected medically because of it & everyone I spoke to is taking atleast one controlled substance under zocdoc patients & the doctor had a few days to ask Dr Prather at Beach Counseling so I set up another appointment through zocdoc to try again due to my current situation
