I am a board-certified, doctorally prepared psychiatric nurse practitioner and family nurse practitioner with over 13 years of experience. I earned my Master’s in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Washburn University. I work with patients managing disorders such as addiction, depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. While my practice primarily focuses on adults, I do see children and adolescents on a case-by-case basis.
Please note: I do not prescribe stimulant medications (ADHD, ADD) in Georgia.

As a professional who cares, I seek to help you feel better wherever you are. As an experienced psychiatric and primary care provider my approach focuses on building a therapeutic relationship based on open communication, personal integrity and evidenced based medical practices. I am a Christian provider with a holistic perspective. While I respect all spiritual backgrounds, my faith provides context to my world view, and thus my clinical practice.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

This was my first appointment with Dr. Wright, and with a psychiatrist altogether, so I was aprehensive about what might happen, what I might need to recount, how I might be judged and the like. That being said, Dr. Wright put all of those worries to bed. He was an excellent listener, taking the time to absorb all that I had to say about myself and my family history with mental illness. I felt as though I was talking to a trusted friend about a somewhat troubling experience. None of it felt difficult, and it all was worth it by the end. Dr. Wright gave me some great advice about how to approach the issue logically and how to work through it in the same way. That spoke right to the way I problem solve, which helped me to see the problem as less daughnting. Dr. Wright helped me to find a little peace in my situation.
