About Danielle Smith
Danielle grew up in Mayville, Michigan. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2013 from Davenport University. Upon graduation, she started her career in emergency medicine as a registered nurse. She gained her Master of Science in Nursing- Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Purdue University Global in 2018 with high honors. After graduation Danielle practiced full time in emergency medicine as a Nurse Practitioner. Danielle joined the Springfield Urgent Care team on a part-time basis in August of 2018, then transitioned to full time in November of 2020. Since being with Springfield Urgent Care, Danielle has become the lead provider and Associate Medical Director working alongside Dr. Gardner to promote a positive, empowered and ever-improving clinical team.
Danielle is married to her best friend, Kyle, and they have three children together. She enjoys spending time with her husband and children, serving within the community and church, cooking, homesteading, and reading. Danielle’s mission is to make an everlasting impression on those around her by displaying kindness, being a role model through servant leadership, and encouraging those around her with actions and words. She strives to practice medicine in a professional and compassionate manner, treating each and every patient like family.
