What should a new client know about working with you?

I am very interested in cultural and intuitive influences on the creative act of recovery and change. I organized my Depth psychology thesis on Butoh as a trauma response to WW2 and how to move people from isolation, “The Hungry Ghosts” and shock, back to experiencing joyfulness, and meaningful living. I have also written articles for people in addiction recovery and recovery from psychiatric medication withdrawal syndromes. I have also been interviewed by the News Paper on the state of Masculinity during the late 1980’s concerning Ballroom dancing.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

One of my most informative experiences was a workshop with the BLM to get “first touch” with wild horses. Alone in a pen with a wild horse and only a few skills, I found that establishing a mode of communication is the first step in developing enjoyable relationships. As in Ballroom dance, pressure and release though spatial relationship, and non-verbal cues establish agreements and conditions to move through space and time with ease and grace.
