I arrived 5 minutes early for my appointment, having filled out the paperwork ahead of time. It took approximately 10 minutes for the receptionist to call my name to get my information. I then waited for another 30 minutes before Iasked the receptionist when I would be seen. He assured me that I was about to be called. 10 minutes later I was finally seen by the doctor's assistant. After the intake with her, I was with the doctor for less than 10 minutes. While the doctor had a good beside manner, the 55 minute wait time was definitely not justified. I understand that doctors' offices are busy but this experience showed definite disrespect for my time.

Dr. Culang was knowledgeable. I am very much disappointed with the hospital he works at. The assistants don't answer phones and don't reply voice mails for simple matters like refilling medication. I had to go back to a previous doctor fora medication because I could never get them to respond after 5 or 6 voicemails. What is more outrageous was that their billing department. I had a visit in the summer of 2017. My insurance paid and the hospital lost track of the payment. Without notifying me in any way, they sent it to collection. No bill, no email, no phone call, no text. They claimed that they sent me one statement, but I didn't get anything. Even if they did, it is still crazy to send an account to collection after one statement cycle. I just feel that the hospital is so big that the staff don't care very much.

Dr. Culang patiently listened to my ailment and performed some simple diagnostic tests. He was careful to explain the tests and what I should expect. At the conclusion of the exam, he left me comfortable with his impressions and gave somenext steps. My ailment was nothing serious. Follow up items were at my discretion depending on how much more testing would put my mind at ease. I appreciate his expertise and personal attention. I'll definitely return to Dr. Culang should I have other ENT needs.

Dr. Culang is fantastic. Unfortunately his office in Union Square charges facility fees and is expensive for someone with moderate insurance coverage.

Dr. Culang himself was nice, but everything else was a disaster. I went in as I have been dealing with tinnitus. After arriving on time for my appointment I waited for about 20 minutes to see the doctor. After consulting withhim he told me he would like me to take an hearing test and he'd get me in right away (an hour later I took my test). It was recommended that I get an MRI, and take a second hearing test after being put on steroids for a week. I did both and never heard back from Dr. Culang. I've called their office three times and haven't had a response. To make things even better my symptoms have returned. Wouldn't recommend going here unless you want the run around and paying for all the add on tests.

Doctor was fantastic, front desk staff was the worst... it’s also impossible to get ahold of the front desk, no phone number, faxes, messages work.

Dr Culang seemed mildly condescending and dismissive throughout both of our appointments. He didn’t listen well and seemed to think my concerns were unimportant. He did recommend a treatment plan though, so I would’ve been happy enough tosee him again to just have the care I needed. EXCEPT his office uses a crazy billing system in which I received 2 bills for each visit. For each visit I was charged both my usual specialist copay and a second copay “for the facility”. Which seems super sketchy to me. He also billed me a huge copay just for looking in my sinuses quickly with a scope. When I asked him about the charges later he said “oh yeah, they bill that as surgery for some reason” I was billed a very large amount in double copays for a quick consultation, a scan, and a follow up to discuss the scan. This may be specific to how this hospital interacts with my insurance in particular, but I’ve never seen it before so if you have Metroplus, I’d steer clear of this office.

Dr. Culang listened to me and responded as if I was a person and not just a patient. His staff was very friendly and professional. I was called in such a short period of time. Dr. Culang was not quick towrite up a prescription either, which I appreciated. He would like me to do some follow up with another specialist and says he is available for questions. I was very impressed!

This was my first visit with Dr. Culang. He had a presentable bedside manner, but kept treating me like I was overreacting about the reason for my visit. Ultimately I saw another doctor who confirmed my suspicion about what was wrong.Dr. Culang just advised me to purchase a saline spray, which didn't alleviate my problem. Not validating my concerns is one thing, but a couple weeks after my visit I was presented with a bill in addition to my copay. I saw the doctor for all of 5 minutes and was never informed that I'd receive a sizable bill in addition to my copy for the nasal endoscopy -- which the doctor treated as a routine part of the visit. Ultimately, as a young professional with the best insurance I can get through work, I value transparency and respect from medical professionals. I wouldn't return to Dr. Culang.

He was nice but very unhelpful. I went because of chronic sinus infections, he prescribed that I use a neti pot....that was it. He looked into my nose and then I get a bill for a "surgical procedure" that was not covered. He is a complete fraud.

Dr Culang is knowledgeable and patient in answering all my questions. I would recommend him. What I didn't like was the hospital he works in. It is EXTREMELY HARD to contact the hospital. They NEVER pick up phones and you haveto leave MANY voice mails before they respond. At the time of writing, I have been trying to request a prescription for 10 days. They don't pick up the phone, they don't respond to my voice mails, they don't put the prescription in and I have no idea when I will get my prescription.
