About Dr. David Dunaway
David L. Dunaway, MD, FAAD is a board-certified dermatologist and internist. Originally from Louisiana, he graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Biochemistry and Doctorate of Medicine. After which, he relocated to Philadelphia in 2016 to complete a five-year combined residency under the departments of Internal Medicine and Dermatology at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Dunaway practices both medical and surgical dermatology, with a focus in skin cancer prevention and treatment and complex medical dermatology.
When not practicing dermatology, he enjoys physical fitness, cooking, traveling, and quality time with his friends and family.

I was skeptical going to a dr that I didnt hear from from others. I was in a hurry to be seen and got in right away. I am a critical care rn and am very particular. The whole experience at this office was exceptional. The employees were so welcoming and professional. Dr aknowledged my concerns and answered all of my questions with clarity and kindness. Any nervousness I had going in, melted away. So impressed and so glad that I found this practice. I am65 years old and grew up in the beach all summer long. No judgement, no shaming. Highly recommend.

I was deeply worried about some sudden appearing marks and was able to get a same day appointment to see the Dermatologist. He and his staff we excellent and I will continue seeing him. He calmed my nerves and made the whole process quick and comfortable. Monet at the desk was a life saver when running late she was able to accomodate me and push back my appointment with no problems. I would highly recommend!

Dr. Dunaway immediately identified my issue and clearly explained it to me. He prescribed helpful medications and also gave me a brochure containing all of the instructions he had given me. He is nice, respectful, and knowledgeable.
