About Dr. David Greenstein
Dr. Greenstein was born in New York. He attended college and medical school at the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated with top honors. He came to Boston in 1991 to do his internship at Massachusetts General Hospital and his residency at Boston University and Tufts University. After completing his training in 1995, he joined Northeast Dermatology and has been here ever since.
Dr. Greenstein specializes in medical and surgical dermatology. He also does allergy testing, hyperhidrosis treatments and some cosmetic procedures. Dr. Greenstein has also run our clinical trials unit for the past 15+ years. During that time, he has supervised over 50 clinical trials in acne, psoriasis, rosacea, eczema, actinic keratosis, skin cancer and various cosmetic treatments. These trials have led to the approval of many of the exciting new treatments in dermatology today. Dr. Greenstein also has an interest in teaching and has been the director of dermatology for Beverly Hospital’s family practice residency program (now defunct). He currently precepts Tufts PA students for their dermatology training. He also has an interest in teledermatology and other “cutting edge” technologies.

Dr. Greenstein had more important places to be, and spent just a couple minutes with me. I informed the office, the nurses, and him of an allergy to sulfa medications. This is documented on my report. He prescribed me a topical cream that I used before finding out it is a sulfa medication. This gross negligence is abhorrent and I sincerely recommend you find another doctor.

Doctor Greenstein, and his assistant Theresa, are so wonderful. In my experience is rare to find such quality care, as a family who has various medical struggles I know from experience that finding a team that not only meets your needs but exceeds them can be extremely difficult. I have so much gratitude for Dr. Greenstein and Theresa for helping my child get the help they need, and look forward to continuing to work with them.

The visit was fine however the office staff told me that appointments booked on zoc doc are not always accurate, esp w new patients, so call the office to confirm. Had issues with the medication prescribed and it has been very difficult to get in touch w someone to get that straightened out. Medication wound up being sent to another pharmacy but I was not updated by the office.
