About Dr. David Halio
David Halio, MD, is a board-certified OB/GYN with many years of experience treating patients. He is highly regarded for his expertise in well-woman preventive care and is very experienced in managing the vast array of gynecological problems. He has excellent interpersonal skills and a broad knowledge base. Dr. Halio believes each patient should be treated as an individual and receive the highest quality of care.
Dr. Halio is also board certified by the American Board of Obesity Medicine and encourages his patients to reap the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle.
He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Brookdale Hospital.
Currently, Dr. Halio is in private practice and is affiliated with the Mount Sinai Hospital System and Northwell LIJ. He is also on the faculty of the new Northwell Hofstra Zucker School of Medicine, where he enjoys teaching residents and medical students.

I’ve been a patient of Dr Halio for a number of years decades ago and just began seeing him again recently, I have to say he still is my number one doctor then and holds the same position due to his compassionate care and his willingness to go above and beyond for the wellness of his patients. I recommend Dr Halio for continuing care and first time patients to anyone who wants a personal relationship with a doctor who doesn’t see his patients as a number.

Today was my first visit with Dr. Halio and I liked how he and his staff greeted his patients. The wait time was short. Also, every step was explained and I didn’t feel rushed. The office is spacious, nice and clean. Overall, his bed side manner is really great and I will definitely be going back.

Dr. Halio had a good bedside manner! The office is small, and they only have one person working the front desk and doubling as an MA so it can lead to a backup but I was the only person there when I arrived so I didn’t have any issues. The MA & Dr. Halio were very pleasant and Overall good experience!

Appointment was confirmed on Zocdoc. I arrived to a residence with ample parking. Office was on the side of the house. Office seemed old and receptionist was unaware of my appointment. Said they have issues with Zocdoc. None of my paperwork that I took to fill out were there. I was told I had no appointment despite my confirmation from Zocdoc but I can fill out the paperwork again and Doctor would see me when he could. I was not given an expected wait time though I was the only one in the waiting room. Receptionist was unfriendly and not helpful. If they cant get appointments right how will my preand post natal care be? I am moving on to a more professional office within LIJ.

Dr. Halio is very thorough. I appreciated that he didn't keep me guessing as he told me each step he took and gave me feedback throughout each exam. He is professional and extremely knowledgable.... AND no wait time! The office is clean and they take all measures to protect against Covid-19. I felt extremely comfortable (and I am a new patient).
