About Dr. David Hecker

Dr. David J. Hecker has been serving the South Florida area since 1999. After completing his undergraduate studies at Princeton University, Dr. Hecker earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine. He then completed his residency in Dermatology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, where he served as Chief Resident. Following residency, Dr. Hecker completed a Dermatopharmacology Research Fellowship at Mount Sinai, one of the most well-respected hospitals in the nation, during which he published numerous articles on dermatologic and cosmetic-related conditions, including in the Mount Sinai Journal of Medicine.
In 2010, David Hecker and his wife Melanie decided that the best way to serve their clients was to start their own practice, Hecker Dermatology Group. Today, Hecker Dermatology Group is one of the most technologically advanced dermatology practices in South Florida, with a goal to provide the latest treatments and excellent care to their patients.
Dr. Hecker has served as a reviewer for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Archives of Dermatology, Pediatric Dermatology, and Cutis. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Broward County Medical Association and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology.

At Hecker Dermatology you're not just a patient. You are a person who matters.
Both Dr. David Hecker, and DR Melanie Hecker M.D. provided me with state of the Art treatment by using the newest most advanced medical equipment from pharmacological products in their office.
They thoroughly analyze my medical conditions by putting me through a series of blood work. Which found problems that other doctors had missed.
Dr. David Hecker put me on a drug called Tremfya , I was frightened to start getting injections but it literally saved my life.
Hecker Dermatology they have made me lifelong patient.
I drive from Hallandale Beach, to Pompano Beach just to make sure I get to the Best dermatologist office that has ever been in.

Good doctors. Listen and answer questions. Wait time is not too long. Their billing team could do better though. I have been overcharged every visit and every time I have to adress it when they ask for the copay. Would be nice if they could have a note in their system and deduct the overpayment automatically without the patient mentioning it every time. Overall I do recommend this office.

Dr. David Hecht has been my dermatologist for many years. Even though he moved to a location 10 miles from my home, I continue to use him. That should tell you everything. He is professional; listens to and explains all situations and always in a friendly way. His medical assistants are knowledgable and very efficient. The reception staff are attentive, polite and pleasant.

I consider myself a professional patient. As someone with an extensive medical history I’ve interfaced with many doctors. Without a doubt, I knew in my mind Dr David Hecker is one of those quality doctors.
He explained everything to me, had great bedside manner, and carried out a sensitive procedure quickly and confidently. Throughout the entire process I felt like I was in good hands.
