About Dr. David Kavesteen
Dr. Kavesteen is recognized as a ?Leading Physician of the World? and the ?Top Cardiologist in Babylon, NY? by the International Association of Cardiologists, and as ?One of America's Top Cardiologists 2010? by the Consumers' Research Council of America.
He was voted Best Cardiologist of Long Island in 2013 by Long Island Press. His unique approach of evaluating the body as a whole rather than one organ at a time has been praised by his peers throughout the region. By combining holistic and modern medicine, he has developed the ability to treat complex medical conditions with ease and success. He specializes in early detection and prevention.
Dr. David Kavesteen received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from SUNY Stony Brook. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at New York University Medical Center. Dr. Kavesteen continued his education with fellowship training in Cardiovascular Diseases and Nuclear Cardiology at Maimonides Medical Center. He has received numerous awards, published many medical articles, and founded Heart and Health to pursue his holistic, preventative approach to cardiology.
Dr. Kavesteen believes that prevention is the key to longevity and maintaining a healthy heart. His genuine interest in prevention has given him a unique perspective on healing and rejuvenation, combining Eastern medical techniques with Western medicine. Booked way too many appointments each day. Wait was very long in waiting room. Sometimes not even an empty chair to sit in. Visit with doctor was always rushed. I could barely get a word in before he was running out of the room.

This doctor and his staff are the most professional of any that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. They are courteous on the phone and in person. I have been to both of their locations and had the same positive experience. The doctor's bedside manner, and professional knowledge factored in with absolutely ZERO wait time is all that I could possibly need from a health care provider and it's employees. Thank you!

Prior to the appointment, I was informed that Dr. Kavesteen was not going to be there however Dr. Kavesteen had an associate that was available and he would be coming in at 11:30AM. I informed the lady that my mother needed to be seen at 11AM so she could go back to work. The receptionist informed me that she would ask the Dr. If he could make it there a bit early. We we got to the office, the Dr. Was there and waiting for us.
A very quiet office with great, courteous, and professional people. The Dr. if very nice, funny, and personable. I would recommend this office and it's staff to all that I know. You can tell that these people enjoy what they do and they are in the business to provide a comfortable, and pleasant experience to their patients.

He is extremely knowledgeable and has an excellent bedside manner. In the past I have been to many doctors that treat you like a number...Just in and out the door. Dr. Kavesteen actually listens. He really does care about his patients and it's very obvious.
