Getting to know David Krasnov
I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner with a strong educational background and have completed my Masters in Nursing Science at Fairleigh Dickinson University. I hold a Bachelor's in Nursing Science and a Bachelor's in Cell Biology and Neuroscience from Rutgers University. I have extensive experience in behavioral health, working in voluntary, involuntary, pediatric, and geriatric psychiatric units. My certifications and licensure reflect my deep commitment to providing quality psychiatric care.
I specialize in the evaluation and management of psychiatric medication to provide comprehensive and personalized treatment plans for patients. In addition to psychiatric assessments, evaluations and medication management, I can help link patients to adjunct treatments, including but not limited to transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), psychedelic therapy (SPRAVATO esketamine) and/or talk therapy.
What should a new client know about working with you?
The first appointment will involve a review of personal history, including family dynamics, childhood experiences, relationships, and any significant life events as well as explore the reasons you sought services and the specific symptoms and challenges you are facing. Recommendations for care will be provided and together you’ll begin to develop a plan to achieve your goals and achieve symptom relief.

What is your typical process for working with clients?
Patients’ initial medication management evaluation is a crucial step towards understanding and addressing their mental health needs and typically involves a thorough assessment of their medical and psychiatric history. I will provide information about potential treatment options, including psychiatric medications, and explain the benefits, potential side effects, and risks associated with each. This discussion aims to engage the patient in the decision-making process, ensuring they actively participate in their treatment plan.
Relief Mental Health is an outpatient provider of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), psychedelic therapy (SPRAVATO® and IV Ketamine), psychiatric medication management, and talk therapy for the treatment of depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder and other mental health diagnoses. While our expertise is broad, there are certain mental health conditions and diagnoses that fall outside our scope of practice. Your initial appointment will be considered an intake appointment and will not guarantee a continued patient-provider relationship.

More information on payments and coverage
If we do not receive your insurance information at least 24 hours prior to your appointment, we will collect a $100.00 deposit at the time of service and verify benefits after your appointment has taken place. This deposit will be applied towards any out-of-pocket costs for services, including copays, coinsurances, deductibles, or the full cash rate if we are out-of-network or unable to verify your insurance benefits. Once benefits are verified, any outstanding balance will be charged to the credit card on file and any overpayment can be refunded or applied to future visits. Our providers’ profiles list which insurances they accept, but patients are still encouraged to contact their insurance company for specific coverage details. Most of our providers are in-network with a variety of commercial PPO policies and Medicare, but are out-of-network with commercial HMO policies, Medicaid and other government-funded health insurance providers.

This is an extremely difficult review to write because we were not actually seen. Using the GPS we arrived at the office, my husband went inside and was told by a dentist that there was no one else in the building. We made three calls to a number that forces you to leave a message. We were called back but by that time had left and were in a town with which we were not familiar, could not pullover because of snow impacting the shoulders of the roads and still do not understand why the parking lot at 211 Broad street, the practice’s address, was not the correct one. We are seniors and had a live receptionist answered one of the 3 calls we placed, we might have gotten more timely guidance. As is, we were too stressed to start over and saddened that what we hoped would be the beginning of a healing journey ended in an afternoon of stress, anxiety and driving aimlessly. The physician/nurse practitioner may be wonderful but we will never know.
