Getting to know Dr. David Spelber

Initial consultation appointments available here will be conducted over the phone prior to scheduling your 90-minute initial evaluation by telehealth. I am a Stanford-trained, Board-Certified Psychiatrist. My practice provides medication management, psychotherapy, and psychiatric consultations to individuals with bipolar disorder, depression, OCD, and anxiety disorders, as well as a variety of other psychiatric conditions. Patients often enjoy working with me because of my patient-centered, collaborative, and informative approach to psychiatric assessment and treatment. I enjoy explaining and educating individuals on the origin of psychiatric symptoms and how various treatment options–psychiatric medications or neuromodulation–work and compare to one another. I begin with a careful and complete diagnostic evaluation and pursue multimodal treatment planning based on your individualized needs and goals. This may incorporate a mix of pharmacological treatments guided by evidence-based research, psychotherapy, psychoeducation, while also taking into consideration your physical health (activity level, diet, and sleep cycle).
