I believe in a team approach and giving the patient an opportunity to take an active role in their treatment plan. My approach N/A My focus I work with the adult population. I have worked with a wide range of diagnoses. I most commonly treat anxiety, depression, insomnia, PTSD, and bipolar disorder. My communication style I am open, honest, and transparent with my patients. I want the environment to be stress free for them. I encourage patients to be themselves and not be afraid to open up. I want to help them get through whatever they may be experiencing. My journey to mental healthcare I have been a nurse since 2007, most of my career was spent in the emergency department. Mental health and addiction have always been an underserved population. There continues to be a stigma associated with these types of diagnoses. I want to be able to let patients know that there are people/providers that truly care. Helping people is what I'm meant to do. My goals for you I include the patient in the goal setting process. These goals should be ones that the patient believes are attainable for them. My first session with you During our first session, there are a lot of questions related to the patients history. I also attempt to implement a treatment plan, with the approval of the patient.
