Getting to know Dr. Dax Wolford

Dr. Wolford is a board-certified psychiatrist with a unique and dynamic background in medicine, public psychiatry, and integrated care. He earned his MD from LSU School of Medicine in 2016, completed Adult Psychiatry training at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, and further specialized with a Public Psychiatry fellowship at Columbia University. Now based in Las Vegas, he leads psychiatric services at Envigor Clinic and serves as an assistant professor at Touro Medical School. Dr. Wolford combines traditional psychiatric care with modern, personalized treatment approaches, aiming for rapid, meaningful results while minimizing side effects. Fluent in Spanish, he brings a culturally sensitive and collaborative mindset to all aspects of care.

What should a new client know about working with you?

New clients should know that I take a personalized, collaborative approach to care. I work to understand your full medical and mental health picture, aiming to deliver results quickly while making sure the treatment plan fits your goals and lifestyle. Whether you prefer traditional options or want to explore newer approaches, I’ll work closely with you to find what’s best.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I begin with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation that includes your mental health history, medical background, and treatment preferences. Based on this, I create a customized care plan that may involve medication management, therapy coordination, or integrative strategies through our “one-stop shop” clinic model. I closely monitor progress and adjust as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
