This is a requirement for video and in-person visits.** Originally from Aurora, Illinois, Deb earned a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. She then completed her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. Deb has always been drawn to the field of medicine, motivated by the desire to help people in need regardless of their financial resources and to improve their quality of life. She finds the relationships, collaboration, and partnerships developed with patients and their families deeply fulfilling, especially in seeing goals of care met and improvements in patients' functional status. Since 1991, Deb has lived in Colorado. She transferred from the heart failure program at the University of Utah with Dr. Michael Bristow and moved to Colorado to help develop the heart failure treatment program with the University of Colorado's Heart Failure and Transplant program. She continued there until 2010, when she joined SCL Health. Deb is married with three sons. She enjoys hiking with her husband and their Labrador retriever in the Evergreen area. In her downtime, Deb is a whiz at ?Gummy Drop? and ?Words with Friends.?
