I began my career as a certified nursing assistant, later serving nearly five years as a U.S. Army Healthcare Specialist/EMT at Fort Bragg. I went on to earn my BSN from UNC Pembroke and my MSN as a PMHNP from Vanderbilt University. MEDICATION PRESCRIBING: Thriveworks providers do not prescribe opioid use disorder medications, weight-loss medications, injectable psychiatric medications, long-term benzodiazepines, or sleep medications, though these may be prescribed short-term for existing clients when clinically appropriate. Controlled substances, including ADHD stimulants, are available only in select states.
