What is your typical process for working with clients?
This is your first step in our journey together toward optimal mental and emotional health. Our first evaluation is dedicated to getting to know you and your unique situation.
We will discuss the challenges you are facing, your background, your family, and daily life.
We will also discuss any past medication treatments, current medications, and treatment recommendations. We may even prescribe or refill medications during the initial evaluation. Initial appointment will last 60 minutes.
We would like to ask you not to rush into choosing a mental health provider. Our practice, with its limited capacity, is a haven for our existing loyal patients. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to have my appointment. I waited about 5 minutes and then called the office because I never received instructions on how to access the video call for my first visit. The office informed me that the provider had cancelled last minute due to an emergency. I completely understand that emergencies happen, but I wasn’t notified ahead of time, which was disappointing and left a bad impression for my first experience.

Assigned PA was not who the telehealth provider was rather i was seen by an NP who was difficult to get a hold of regarding requests and I have still yet to receive my prescription due to NP ignoring pharmacy requests to fax over needed information to fill my prescription of 8 years. I would not recommend psyche journey to anyone.

Desanne is a great listener and she said that she is going to do research on my conditions as I am a complicated case. She is friendly and he seems to really want to help me. She followed up with me in less than 2 days booked the follow up through her and was put on an amazing treatment plan that now if 4 months I am feeling great again.

Very happy with my appointment, provider actually spent time with me and listened to my story and concerns and genuinely wanted to help find the right treatment plan moving forward, rather than rushing through the appointment and writing a prescription. Had appointment and was able to pick up new medications within a couple hours.

The best mental health provider I have ever had. During my visit, I felt understood. I felt hope. More importantly, I felt heard. Kathryn did a phenomenal job of explaining my medication options and helping me understand what is going on with me. I finally have a name for how I have been feeling my entire life, and a plan that I can actually execute (for once). After one session it was like a weight had been lifted from my shoulders.
