What should a new client know about working with you?

Starting therapy can be a vulnerable step, and I want you to know—you’re not alone in it. My intention is to create a space where you feel safe, seen, and respected, exactly as you are. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, or just feeling stuck, we’ll work together to understand the deeper layers of your experiences and gently move toward healing. My approach is collaborative and rooted in curiosity. I draw from Psychodynamic Therapy to help uncover how past relationships and patterns may be showing up in the present, often without us realizing it. At the same time, I incorporate Mindfulness and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy to help you stay grounded in the now and build tools that support emotional flexibility, self-compassion, and resilience. For clients processing trauma or distressing memories, I offer EMDR as a powerful option for deeper healing. As a therapist, I value the complexity of each person’s identity. I work with individuals, couples, and families from all backgrounds, and I hold a special space for BIPOC clients whose experiences are often overlooked or misunderstood. I bring a whole-person perspective into the room—honoring not just your mind, but your body, culture, relationships, and story. Clients often tell me they feel gently challenged and deeply supported. Therapy with me is a conversation, not a performance. I’ll meet you where you are, help you notice what’s holding you back, and guide you in reconnecting with your own inner clarity and strength. You’re not broken—you’re becoming. And I’m here to walk beside you on that journey.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Therapy isn’t a one-size-fits-all journey. It’s a space we co-create—where your story, struggles, strengths, and hopes are honored. If you’re considering working with me, here’s what the process generally looks like: Once we begin, the first few sessions are about slowing down and getting to know you. We’ll explore what’s feeling heavy, what you’ve been carrying, and what you’re hoping for. We’ll talk about your past—not to stay there, but to understand how it might still be echoing in the present. Together, we’ll begin identifying themes, goals, and what healing might look like for you. As we continue, we’ll build a strong therapeutic relationship—one based on trust, curiosity, and compassion. You won’t be alone in this process. I’ll walk alongside you, helping you notice the patterns that keep showing up, the emotions beneath the surface, and the parts of you that are ready to be seen and supported. Depending on your needs, we may integrate different approaches—like mindfulness practices, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), or EMDR if you’re working through trauma. We’ll go at your pace, honoring what feels safe while gently expanding your capacity to navigate discomfort and reconnect with your inner strength. Healing isn’t linear—but over time, you may find that things begin to shift. You’ll feel more grounded in who you are, more compassionate toward yourself, and more equipped to meet life’s challenges with clarity and courage. This is your space. Your story. Your process. I’m here to hold it with care.
