Getting to know Diana Perez-Nunez
I am here to help and welcome the opportunity to work with you if you are struggling with ADHD, depression, anxiety, insomnia, psychotic conditions, bipolar disorder, and other mood disorders. I am fluent in both Spanish and English. Hablo Español. At my practice, we pride ourselves on being patient-centered and offering an experience like no other. I hold a Bachelor's degree from Florida Atlantic University, a Master's in Family Nursing from Chamberlain University, and a Post-Master's Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Regis College.
What should a new client know about working with you?
My goal for our encounters is for you to feel that you have been heard and that we are mutually working on addressing your treatment goals in a safe, compassionate space. I encourage active patient participation and mutual decision making in order to foster a plan of treatment tailored to your wellness goals. I am not a "pill pusher" as I acknowledge that lifestyle modification is almost always required to get us the results we want. I pride myself in offering my patients the most up to date treatment (genetic testing, supplementation, targeted labs, etc.). I attend multiple continuing education conferences per year because I always want to be able to offer my patients the newest evidence based approaches to treating their mental health concerns.
There is a great need for quality psychiatric services at this time. For this reason a $175 - $195 no-show fee will apply to any missed or same day cancelled new patients appointments. A $95 - $115 no-show fee will apply to any missed or same day cancelled follow-up patient appointments. This fee will apply regardless of the reason for cancellation. This is company policy and does not apply to just ZocDoc pts.

IF YOU BOOK WITH ME FOR PSYCHOTHERAPY/THERAPY I WILL COMPLETE A FULL ASSESSMENT AND PROVIDE YOU WITH USEFUL RESOURCES FOR YOU TO CONTINEU YOUR MENTAL HEALTH JORNEY.
Please be aware that no-show fees apply to help cover the cost of reserved time. The fee for missed initial visits is $175 and $95 for missed follow-up sessions. These fees are not punitive, but necessary to ensure time and resources are used appropriately. No-show fees may be escalated to collections if not resolved. We ask that all cancellations or reschedules be made at least 24 hours in advance.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
When a client books with me on ZocDoc they will receive a call to evaluate appropriateness for a telehealth encounter. Once the patient is deemed appropriate for telehealth or outpatient services they will receive intake forms to complete, which will include consents and screenings as warranted. They will also be directed to Headway or Grow Therapy so we can bill your insurance directly, if insured. On the day of the appointment you will either come in-person or get a link to join via telehealth. At your visit a psychiatric evaluation will be performed, we will order tests as necessary, you will be connected to social supports, we will discuss your history related to your treatment, and we will work together to develop YOUR treatment plan.

I've been to a lot of psychiatric providers but I can honestly say Diana is the best one I've ever seen. She listens, acts questions, and seems to genuinely care about seeing me better. Other providers I've seen before would only speak to me for 5 minutes and rush me out. Diana dedicates 30 minutes to our visits, pays attention to the things I say, and even remembers and follows up on small details that I've mentioned several visits ago. I cannot recommend her enough. If you want a provider that puts her patients first and specializes in true patient care, she is the one to book with!

After discontinuing services with her, a person at her office sent me a letter insulting me and recommended specific services insinuating false notions. My experience with Diana has been wonderful. She is very attentive, responsive, and knowledgeable. I have struggled a lot with my mental health this year and went to many different doctors and psychiatrists for treatment, but unfortunately, nothing was really working. However, when I started seeing Diana, she listened to the issues I was having and was able to properly prescribe medication that has helped me tremendously. She is extremely professional, but not only that, she also seems to truly care about my needs as a patient. I cannot recommend her enough.
