Getting to know Dr. Diane Papke
Dr. Diane Papke is a staff psychiatrist at Talkiatry. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Toledo College of Medicine and completed her internship year in Internal Medicine at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix, AZ. She then pursued two years of neurology residency at Barrow Neurological Institute before completing her psychiatric residency at Maricopa Medical Center in 2005. Since then, she has dedicated much of her career to caring for seriously mentally ill (SMI) patients, guided by her mantra: “propelling people forward to wellness.” Working at the supportive level of care for this population sharpened her skills in providing the highest level of outpatient care through ACT (assertive community treatment).
Dr. Papke has a genuine interest in treating psychiatric disorders such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, ADHD, and especially bipolar disorder. She also has experience managing medical comorbidities, including neurologic disorders.
In 2023, she expanded her expertise to include telehealth management for the general population. With a no-nonsense approach, she prides herself on collaborating with patients to achieve their goals of optimal psychiatric health. She believes the cornerstone of a healthy partnership is a holistic approach-listening with an open mind and heart while working together to provide the right medication management and supportive care. Dr. Papke looks forward to meeting you!

I found the experience very troubling and upsetting. I was “quizzed” and felt judged and found the Dr lacked empathy and “connecting” skills. She could have handled the session very differently and wasted my time.
