Certified in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy by the Polaris Insight Center and in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute, Dr. Karvounides supports individuals through preparation, medicine sessions, and integration for those pursuing these interventions to manage treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, and trauma. In addition to her training in mindfulness-based interventions through the University of Pennsylvania’s Penn Program for Mindfulness, Dr. Karvounides incorporates a range of evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She holds expertise in working with individuals experiencing chronic pain and the emotional, relational, and functional impact that can occur with these conditions. In her private practice, she also works with clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational challenges.
