About Dr. Dion Banoian
Dr. Dion Banoian is a Los Angeles native who immigrated to the United States at the age of eight. His passion for health and wellness began early, working as a personal trainer during his teenage years before serving the community as a first responder and emergency medical technician. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from UCLA with Highest Departmental Honors and went on to receive a scholarship to attend Wake Forest University School of Medicine in North Carolina. After medical school, he returned to California to complete his residency training at Loma Linda University Health.
Dr. Banoian’s enthusiasm for medicine spans multiple disciplines. He currently divides his time between his primary care practice and his work as a travel hospitalist across several states. He also serves as the Chair of Pharmacy and Therapeutics at Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital, where he helps enhance patient safety and optimize medication practices.
With a strong background in fitness, nutrition, and athletics, Dr. Banoian emphasizes preventive medicine, obesity management, and cardiovascular health. His holistic approach combines medical science with lifestyle optimization to help patients achieve sustainable wellness. He is deeply committed to building long-term, genuine relationships with his patients and empowering them to take an active role in their health.
