Verified Patient Reviews
I chose Dr. Khasak because I wanted to get something on my face checked out quickly and his office was right near mine. The long wait time was nothing compared to his bedside manner. He was so rushed that I didn't even hear his diagnosis. After looking at me for less than 3 seconds (not an exaggeration) he tells me to take off my shirt so he can check me for skin cancer. I told him I was not at his office for a screening and he accused me of not caring about cancer. I was so horrified that I almost cried in his office. I refused to take off my clothes and will never enter that office again. His practice should be closed.
Not sure what happened but waited forever for a very simple visit.
Waited over an hour, doctor didn't even introduce himself or look over my history. The staff was somewhat weird and office didn't appear clean.
I was glad to actually have dr.khasak instead of my usual dr.
The wait was so long, I left. I tried to see him again, but the wait was too long... So I never saw him. I will see someone else, it's not that serious, just an annual skin screening. :-(
Dr. Khasak's bedside manner is frankly a bit rude. He was uncommunicative about the procedures he performed and simply left the room without saying anything when he was finished. He gave me no explanation of how to care for my biopsy wound and wrote a prescription for a different medication than the one we had discussed, again with no explanation. I will be seeing a different doctor.
Horrible. Never going back. I wish I read the comments before I went to my appointment. The only good thing about this office is their receptionist.
It was great!
Absolutely awful. Bedside manner was horrible. I felt rushed.
PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU BOOK...I have never written a bad review in my life but I want to save you from the experience I had! This was TERRIBLE. I left in the middle of the appointment. Let me tell you why: *I waited almost an hour *While I waited, me (and the other 6 patients also waiting) could hear a woman screaming in pain from the other room *The Dr.'s assistant was not dressed professionally and told me my rash was probably "just from weather" without looking at it and then DARED me to disagree with him *The Dr.'s lab coat was covered in either dried BLOOD or his lunch, either way- not cool *He didn't make eye contact with me and TOLD me that I must have put a certain cream on it that I had never used- he told me I was LYING *Then he wanted to do a mole check, instead of offering me a robe, he asked me (a young woman in my mid 20's) to just TAKE MY SHIRT OFF in front of the young male assistant who said, and I quote, "Don't worry, I won't look". I felt disgusted. I told the doctor that I felt very uncomfortable and he told me that I was not being "compliant" and that he could save my life. I walked out and told his front desk ladies (who were nice) that I was leaving- keep my co-pay- I have to get out of here! I felt disgusted and I felt taken advantage of. I would rather live with a rash a few more days than stayed there for one more minute. PLEASE do NOT encourage this terrible doctor and unprofessional situation by making the same mistake I did. There are great doctors out there- do not give this hack your business.
I reported this racist, disrespectful "doctor" to Emblem Health HIP for his unprofessional, disgusting behavior. I will also report him to the Department of Health and the NYS Department of Insurance. I will not forgive him for humiliating my child and for treating her, us like garbage.
Good Dermatologist... Bedside manner could be better. Speaks to fast and doesn't give patients a chance to speak.... Barely makes eye contact and wait time was ridiculous!
Awful bedside manner. Told me I'm "stressed and uptight". When I told him my thoughts he made sure to clarify that I don't really know the answer, and he does. And "lucky for you to have visited me". Because he has the solution & no one else. Cut me off a couple times. Waited 1 hour. 5 other people had appointments that were scheduled for an hour before me, and the doc hadn't arrived at the office yet.
Dr. Khasak is great as well as his staff. Extremely friendly and very helpful!
Wait time was much longer than I would've liked, taking 45 minutes for me to be seen, with an appointment. The office is a bit crazy, with assistants running in and out of the room you're put in, looking for stuff. But actual service from the doctor was satisfactory.
Between the long wait time, unprofessional front desk staff (one of whom was loudly complaining about the job), and aggressive/inappropriate bedside manner, I would not recommend Dr. Khasak to anyone.
STAY AWAY! SOME OF THE WORST medical experience in my adult life. First I waited for over 90 minutes, and probably would have waited more if I didn't constantly come up to the front desk and eventually stormed out of the office, and they had to convince me to go back in. The front desk staff is ineffectual, and not caring and downright condescending. I was told (after 1 hour wait) that everyone is waiting, so I should not complain and understand that the doctor is busy. Really?! Bedside manners - it made me think I am back in the USSR in the 80s, and additionally the doctor had the audacity to tell me it's ok to wait when he is saving lives, belittling my profession and aggrandizing his. The doctor and his medical assistant are rude in whatever language you speak with them. During my visit we spoke in Russian and both he and his assistant referred to me rather unprofessionally and much too informal for a doctor/patient exchange." The doctor performed the whole "inspection", like I was a piece of machinery, then ordered (not consulted, suggested or informed), ordered, a biopsy of two sites, including one on my face and without waiting much left me with 2 penny size biopsy sites, one on my head another on my back. As I found out later, normally a doctor would suggest a biopsy, give you time to think, make decision and maybe even refer you to go to a plastic surgeon or someone with good skills to perform skin removal on the face! I was basically pressured into biopsy without really giving me a choice or info. With few prescriptions, 2 minutes later, I was done. Whole thing, less than 10 minutes. No write up, nothing. Prescriptions, direction to go to a local pharmacy (probably getting nice referral agreement) and a follow up appointment in 3 weeks. All that and a 1/2” chunk of the skin on my face and back missing. Stay away, and stand your ground if you happen to be in the office of a "life saver" like this hack.
My visit was very good, she was really nice the enviorment is very pleasent,I would definitly reccommend her to people, thank you
Efficient & swift! I don't need to be coddled.
Waste of time
Wait time is too long, you should not have to wait an hour past your appointment.
He is too busy, he doesn't even take the time to listen to you.
Waist of time
The Girls at the front desk are the greatest people in the world. Absolute Angels! They really genuinly care about the patients and do their best to accomodate you. Amazing! Highly reccomend!
My experience with this office and its doctors was satisfactory, but it was stained by the fact that I had to wait two hours to be seen. I arrived a few minutes early for my 2:30 appointment and wasn't called in until precisely 4:30. It was President's Day and many people were there on their day off, which meant the office had more appointments than they are used to. The doctor and staff were apologetic about the wait. However I had the impression that using a digital booking system was partially to move past scheduling failures like this.
Dispite the wait I found Dr. Khasak to be very professional and attentive. The staff were also very supportive.
Very good. He gave me a better insight to my issues than any othe doctor I have seen over the past 5 years.
When I got there they told me they wouldn't accept my insurance because they were currently in dispute with United Healthcare.
The doctor was nice but the hour and ten minute wait was not.
Dr. Khasak is an amazing doctor. After Ive had a few visits with his female associates, Dr. Khasak saw me, reviewed my history and symptoms and gave me an accurate diagnosis in a matter of minutes. Dr. Khasak knows his stuff!! :-)
I went to the Park Ave. office, and the space was disorganized and unprofessional. It was my first visit, and the doctor barely introduced herself. She didn't shake my hand and rarely made eye contact. I did not feel I was getting premium care.
I saw Dr. Diana Elish. She was amazingly friendly and did a great job. I highly recommend her.
I recommend DR Diana Elish she is attentive, and very nice! She gave me coupons with my prescriptions!!!
I kind of want to keep him a secret, but he definitely deserves praise! He's my beauty guru! I have had acne since HS and he cleared me up for good in a week! Go see him Everyone in that office is beautiful and so sweet. The other dr Diana is also good, so don't be worried if you see her instead sometimes!
He clearly knows his stuff, but came into his own practice about 45 minutes after it was supposed to open, and after my appt. Apparently he does that all the time, so if you have a morning appt don't go to early.
This guy is extremely unprofessional. I went there twice and waited over an hour both times. The second time was to review bloodword and I was the first appointment of the day. I ended up waiting because this man thinks its okay to stroll into work an hour and 15 minutes late. And the review of the bloodwork was not so abnormal that it couldnt be done over the phone. Nobody here is apologetic for the experience and I don't expect that the behavior in this office will change.
I WILL DEFINITELY come back and be seen by Dr. Khasak, as she was absolutely professional and offered me sound advice. Her manner was gentle, kind, warm, understanding and compassionate. She had two other assistants, and I am convinced that they will adopt her great bedside manner. The receptionist (female) was NOT welcoming and you should consider sending her on a course for dealing with the general public (front desk). The gentleman on the front desk was very friendly and welcoming, and she would bode well to emulate him.
1. Does not spend time with you; 2. does not answer your questions; 3. does not explain what he is doing; 4. makes unnecessary procedures without explaining why and giving you the choice to reject it; 5. does not complete the checks that you have asked for but does other things you have not asked for; 6. unprofessional; 7. waiting time is too long.
Expect to wait at least an hour past the appointment time.
awful. waited an hour (as a walk-in), the waiting room had an unpleasant odor. the seat next to me was stained. finally saw the dr who took a quick look at my rash, prescribed me a medication (at my request) and left without explaining anything. very disappointed patient who was in alot of discomfort.
I HIGHLY advise you to NOT see this physician. His staff is a joke -- having personal intimate conversations within earshot of patients; the wait time is horrendous; this doc obviously does not value any of his patients time.
Dr. Khasak seems very knowledgeable and was able to answer most of my questions and concerns.
Hands down one of the worst derms in NYC. The wait time was an hour and some change and the doctor rushed me out like he had something against me. Very unprofessional. I do give credit to the front desk. The front desk workers were very friendly and kind. Too bad the actual doctor was terrible.
all I can said is he the best dermatology he listen to what you has to say and the result of the treatment are great
Dmitry Khasak is a best doctor I ever see. He is very carefully diagnosed the patient and immediately find a solution that improve health. I and my relatives was on doctor Khasak office with different health problems and after his procedures and prescriptions the problem disappears. I highly recommended Doctor Khasak to my friends and my family and everybody who needs dermatologist attention. Olga
I have never had a more terrible doctor's office experience than at Dr. Khasak's office. When I arrived a few minutes early to my appointment, I was told that they do not honor the "internet" appointments and that I would be seen in order of arrival. Which at this point meant THREE HOURS LATER. Yes, three hours when I had already booked an appointment weeks ago and received confirmation. (They also let me know that the doctor doesn't even come in until 30 minutes after the time that I booked - thanks). I live close by and I returned 3 hours later giving them the benefit of the doubt. The waiting room was teeming with people (and someone with a dog that smelled awful). I was then brought back into another waiting room that was standing room only. And I waited another 10 or so minutes. In the office, I was first seen by the P.A. She was lovely - nice and attentive. She asked me some questions and then Dr. Khasak came in without introducing himself or even greeting me. The PA told him what we had discussed and he left. At one point, Dr. Khasak walked in the room (w/o knocking) when I was getting a skin check in my underwear (no apology). He spoke about melanoma and survival rates then left again. As if this weren't enough reason for me to never go back there, the facilities were gross. I wouldn't even get my hair cut in an office like that. Overall, I was completely appalling and I hope that this review prevents others from having the humiliating experience that I did.
Very rushed once in the examination room.
he didnt wasnt all that pleasant but his staff was.
dr was very professional and took a good care of me,very good doctor
it went well...will be going back soon
You wait longer then you actually see the doctor. I would recommend that if you have an appointment to go there as soon as the door open which is at 1:00pm, else you will be there forever. The only thing I can say is that they are open late and they do keep you up to date as how many people are infront of you. The bottom line is they see you for 5 to 10 mins and you wait for over an hour. They just need to work on the TIME other then that I found them to be OKAY
Appointments are meant to be met. Not first come first serve. This office was a joke.
Avoid this doctor at all costs.
