Dr McMyler has a pleasant bedside manner. She asked many questions and was informative. I expected things to run late as with any dr I see. It is unfortunately the nature of the beast. Determining a patient's needs sometimes requires moretime than others and with anything dealing with the care of a person sometimes emergencies or unexpected circumstances arise. Dr McMyler had a very busy day on the day if my appointment. She explained the next procedure to my satisfaction and answered all of my questions.

It was an ok experience. I waited 45 minutes to see the doctor for 10 minutes. She immediately wanted to schedule multiple procedures and I would rather see if there are other alternatives first, so I wasn't thrilled with that.

I was fortunate to get an appointment for the next day & was pleasantly surprised, despite a lobby full of patients waiting to be seen, to be called within 15 minutes of arrival. Dr. McMyler was very personable & professional inher diagnoses. She recommended tests to confirm which were executed quickly. By late afternoon her personal call to me with the suspected problem & with notification of prescriptions having been ordered, gave me comfort. I highly recommend Dr McMyler for any future need.

My office visit with Dr McMyler was a pleasant experience from the time I walked in to check in with the front desk throughout the time I left. The staff is very friendly and Dr McMyler is going to be thebest Dr I have ever been referred to. I was referred to Dr McMyler by my PCP and I am very comfortable speaking with Dr McMyler about my health. I am afraid of having some post op pain after my procedure next week but she has assured me that I will be comfortable during and after the procedure has been done. I trust her and admire her bedside manner and she even listened to me about my concerns regarding my out patient surgery copay.........putting my mind at ease about payment arrangements which most Doctors would just tell you to talk to their Financial Counselor about it. I do not feel any anxiety about my upcoming procedure to be performed by Dr McMyler.

I really like Dr. McMyler as she very professional, normally friendly, and fast but have to say my gastro situation is very frustrating. I make some progress, then frequently have severe symptoms (intense abdominal pain mostly left side, intenseburning/gnawing mid ab pain, regurgitation of chewed food, etc.) that are not psychosomatic or "emotional"/stress-related, and then have imaging tests that show little or nothing, and try new meds or directions to take meds, for some relief but then the cycle repeats itself. Also, she said at today's appt that I was "noncompliant" with the Aciphex. That is not really accurate and I take issue with this as it basically saying I am going against her recommendations. I think it was a misunderstanding. I took Aciphex for several months but it did nothing and most of all, had edema from it. I thought I had communicated that in past appointments and apologize if I did not but trust me, I am trying hard to be compliant. I take at last count 8 prescription medications for several conditions. I do my best to take all as prescribed. I do occasionally get confused with changes to instructions and I do apologize for that but honestly, I do not understand why the acute symptoms still occur off and on (every 2-3 days typically) after taking the gastro medications for several weeks. If this this best I can hope for, well it is very unfortunate and disappointing, as anyone would conclude. My quality of life sucks with these acute attacks. Rachel is a great nurse. She has been very helpful in relaying information and results. Great communication style and very personable.

I am very impressed with Dr. McMyler!!! She actually read my medical history which my former doctor sent to her BEFORE seeing me. Dr. McMyler still took the time to verify a few things I did not fully understand frommy prior doctor, as well as clarifying what our treatment plan will be. Dr. McMyler is a very knowledgeable, friendly, caring and thorough doctor. She made me feel welcomed as soon as we met. She also did not give me the feeling of having to rush to see her next patient. Monica (her nurse) is wonderful as well.

Apparently this office has an issue with patients showing up late or being a no-show since I received their policy on these topics in the initial email, had to sign that I understood them and were provided again and again throughoutthe process (please enough is enough on the policy) while written in a business tone it is still received as a threat of actions taken if the patient doesn't follow the policy. I am very fine with this since it is common courtesy to show up on time and to cancel if you will not make the appointment. What I have an issue with is if the practice has a policy for the patient to follow why doesn't the office and dr follow the same practice and be prompt at the appointment. If I am expected to show up on time then the Dr and staff should also. Yes the Dr was late; however, there was no apology for being late and the Dr didn't take the 30 seconds to review why I was there before coming in (a totally different embarrassment). I was asked to be in the office 30 minutes prior to appointment, but wasn't seen on time and no apology. this is perceived as the Dr and office thinking their time is much more important than the patient. If you don't have patients, then you do not have a job. :) Secondly, I am sure the Dr understood the discomfort I am in; however when it comes time to schedule the exploratory procedure (just to figure out what is going on) the staff was in no hurry to get me in. First available is over 4 weeks away. Wow, what great customer service I wish they had. In the same category of #1 where the office is more important than the patient, when I asked to be contacted if an early initial appointment became available, I received a very blunt and not so polite that they do not do that. If I wanted to check it was up to the patient. Wow, again what great customer service that I wish they had.

Dr. McMyler is very professional, does not beat around the bush and always comes to the point right away. I find myself a little bit taken aback by her bedside manner...I already have a great fear of doctors and hospitals, sohaving a doctor that speaks just a little bit too loud and is very quick and to the point...without giving you, (the patient) enough time to think of your answer or put it into words is a little intimidating. However....I do believe she has the patient in her best interest and is an outstanding doctor.
