Dr. Dorothy “Jet” Patterson is a board-eligible rheumatologist who cares for a wide range of adult and pediatric rheumatic conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA), spondyloarthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and gout. Dr. Patterson's approach is grounded in the latest medical evidence and tailored to meet her patients' unique, individual needs. She completed combined Internal Medicine–Pediatrics residency and Adult Rheumatology fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern (UTSW) Medical Center, where she also served as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine. She has a special interest in helping adolescents and young adults successfully transition to adult rheumatology care. Dr. Patterson sees patients ages 15 and older and is fluent in medical Spanish. Outside of medicine, Dr. Patterson enjoys spending time with her family, staying active in her church, reading, hiking, and SCUBA diving.
